Connect modem to router

Run Ethernet from modem LAN to router WAN port. Power both devices on.

💡 WAN is often yellow or labelled separately from LAN ports.

Open admin page

On a connected device, visit the gateway IP on the router label (e.g. 192.168.1.1).

Set network name and password

Choose a unique SSID and WPA2/WPA3 password at least 12 characters long.

💡 Change the default admin password too.

Test your connection

Reconnect devices and run a speed test near the router.

💡 Firmware updates on first boot can take ten extra minutes.
