Assemble flat-pack furniture — interactive guide

Sort parts, follow sequence, and avoid the classic wobble — with tick-off steps.

1

Inventory every part

Lay boards and hardware on a blanket. Match counts to the instructions before using tools — missing pieces are easier to report early.

💡 Phone photo of each bag label helps if you mix fixings.

2

Read the full booklet once

Note which steps need two people. Identify left versus right panels by pre-drilled holes.

3

Build sub-assemblies

Frames, drawers, and doors often build separately before final join. Do not fully tighten cam locks until panels align.

4

Square and tighten

Measure diagonals on frames — equal diagonals mean square. Tighten cams in sequence, then wall-fix if supplied.

💡 Electric screwdriver on low torque — stripping cam threads is common.

5

Attach to wall if tall

Freestanding wardrobes and bookcases over chest height need anti-tip brackets into a stud or wall plug.
